Most of the scientific research on how human beings interact with computers has been done in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI), not by UX designers. These research studies are controlled, grounded in real science, and conducted without any particular bias or agenda.
In 1995 Japanese HCI research scientists Masaaki Kurosu and Kaori Kashimura tried to understand the correlation between usability and aesthetics in computer interactions.
