We’re Too Busy
Has anyone on your team ever come to you and said something to the effect of, “I really don’t have time for the retrospective today. Do you mind if I sit this one out or we reschedule?” If so, you’ve encountered the We’re Too Busy objection. This objection often comes up for one of two reasons.
First, it can come up for legitimate reasons—perhaps there’s a critical bug in production that needs immediate attention, for example. In these cases, the objection is worthwhile to consider. The team truly might be too busy for the retrospective at that moment in time.
