When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Metrics
The metrics that CloudWatch collects hold information, collected at a certain point in time, about a certain system, subsystem, or resource that is being consumed. Each metric will have a certain value that will represent the state of the system or the level of resource usage by that system. For example, the metrics collected by the CloudWatch service include the state of a health check of an instance, the CPU resource utilization, the disk write utilization, and so on. These metrics come in two types:
- Standard metrics, collected in 5-minute intervals by default and at no cost
- Detailed metrics, collected in 1-minute intervals if enabled by the user, at an additional cost
