Technical requirements
You need a solid understanding of IT networking terminology, including the ability to identify and manage resources, including, but not limited to, local area networks (LANs), routing, network address translation (NAT), the OSI layers, Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) and Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), and the differences between these two protocols. The exam will also require that you have the ability to calculate IP address ranges and their characteristics, which falls under a basic prerequisite knowledge of networking and will not be covered in this book.
