When our application requires us to have the ability to control the encryption settings on the ELB, we will be using a load balancer security policy. The load balancer security policy controls the encryption and authentication mechanisms that can be used with the load balancer. This will determine how the clients connect to the ELB and how the secure HTTPS session is established. We have the ability to use built-in security policies, as well as create custom ones.
