Risk Analysis
Most IT plans tend to run out of steam at this point. While documents that include this level of detail are quite useful (and certainly more than most organizations currently use), there is one more step that will greatly enhance the value of the IT plan: a risk analysis.
Perhaps the greatest challenge of any plan is recognizing and dealing with risk. In order to minimize the pain associated with this step, it is important to immediately separate risk by two key factors: likelihood and impact.
