The Two Aspects: Hardware and Software
Using hardware and software to secure your data center or facility can take a lot of research and time. The security industry has grown over the years to include software with every device, including simple alarm panels that report intrusion and fire to sophisticated networked software programs.
There are four main sections that should be included when thinking about securing a facility or data center: closed-circuit television (CCTV); card access; fire alarm; and heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC), or building controls. Today, all of the sections are interconnected through hardwire connections or software connections.
