Cooling fans come in different sizes, ranging from 40, 80, 120, 140, 200, and also 240 mm.
Mainly, there are two types of fans:
- High airflow: We are already familiar with such fan designs, as they are quite conventional and common in use. Airflow fans are connected to processor heat sinks and PC cabinet walls where there is less resistance and more airflow is required.
- High static pressure: These fans have their fins designed in the best way to manage air moving through radiators at high-static pressure. They have to be built differently considering the amount of resistance experienced when mounted with radiators.
So, for air-cooling systems, high airflow fans would be the first choice. But in liquid-cooling systems, ...
