So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Preferring system-wide over virtual
Open system-wide environments can be preferable when testing stable releases. It can also be helpful for alpha and beta releases as well, when backup procedures have already been undertaken in fresh OS installations in a physical computer system.
That being said, it is also possible to use both as a hybrid preference. We will see an example later in this chapter.
