Depending on your line of work, a basic GPU computing setup for minimal learning purposes can be sufficient with 8-12 GB of RAM. But if you are looking to perform some heavy-duty experiments, you may want to populate your system with more RAM. If you prefer to use virtual machines (VMs), you have to have adequate RAM to support them. We'll discuss more as we move on to the next sections.
