I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
High-end range
The high-end range of systems required by advanced users, preferably for scientific research, would require GPUs with higher amounts of video memory with at least 8 GB of VRAM. A GeForce GTX 1070 8GB card would meet such a requirement. But if the experimental data demands more, 11 GB is available on the 1080 Ti. Higher amounts of VRAM are also available in 12, 24, and 32 GB variants.
We will read more about such cards with their respective configurations later in this chapter. We will also learn how to use free online tools to plan our hardware accordingly, along with compatibility checks and individual pricing.
