Introduction and Objectives

Air pollution has become a serious problem in countries like Greece. With the rapid increase

in transport and industrial activities, our air quality has surely degraded to a lot worse. The

burning of fossil fuels like petrol and diesel are the major contributor to this pollution. Plus,

the combustion from power plants, agricultural burning, forest fi res, and other industrial

activities are also responsible for the degradation of the air quality in the cities. Some reports

have claimed that people living in such cities are inhaling air equivalent of smoking an entire
