It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Nova
Nova is the heart of OpenStack: it creates and manages virtual machine instances usually leveraging QEMU/KVM but other guest virtualization technologies are also available via the libvirt system including Xen, Hyper-V, VMware, and even bare metal. Nova assorts instances across hypervisor systems according to need, availability, and policies, and arranges for the attachment of network and storage resources.
