So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating and listing pools
When creating a Ceph pool we must a specify a name, PG count, and a pool type of either replicated or erasure-coded. We'll begin by creating a replicated pool. We don't specify the type because replicated is the default. We will use our trusty sandbox cluster again in this exercise.
- Create a pool named web-services with a pg_num value of 128. The pool's pgp_num is implicitly set to match the pg_num we specify.
