I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adapter slots
Servers today often offer a wealth of built-in resources:
- Network interfaces
- Management interfaces
- Storage controllers
- Keyboard / video / mouse (KVM)
- Multi-purpose USB ports
Chances are that you will need to add additional network and storage controllers for bonding or because embedded interfaces may only be 1 Gb/s. Depending on your server model, these may take the form of:
- Standard PCI-e cards
- Custom mezzanine cards that do not consume a PCI slot
- Proprietary LAN On Board (LOM) modules
