When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Filesystem
We've noted that when using the FileStore back end for Ceph OSDs one has a choice of underlying filesystem. While EXT4, XFS, and Btrfs have been officially supported for some time, EXT4 suffers certain troublesome shortcomings, including its limited ability to store the XATTR metadata that Ceph requires. With the Luminous release, EXT4 as a filesystem choice for FileStore is strongly discouraged and in fact one must explicitly enable it if required, along with severe restrictions on Ceph OSD capabilities. Btrfs has both fans and detractors. Whatever one's feelings regarding it are, it is not widely used among Ceph deployments, and thus information within the community is limited.
