So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Integrating Ceph and OpenStack
OpenStack is complex and evolving, so an accurate yet full accounting of configuring OpenStack for Ceph is difficult within the scope of this book.
At a high level, one creates Cinder, Glance, and RGW pools then installs Ceph packages, credentials, and configuration on OpenStack Nova hypervisors as well as Cinder and Glance controllers. See the following references for full details, but briefly:
# ceph-deploy install <name of OpenStack node> # ceph-deploy admin <name of OpenStack node>
One also needs to manage a basic configuration file under /etc/ceph on each OpenStack node so that the cluster can be contacted and accessed. Each OpenStack service also needs configuration to leverage your Ceph clusters. For ...
