When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Ceph-dash
The ceph-dash project is another free open source dashboard/monitoring dashboard, developed by Christian Eichelmann, at 1&1 Internet AG in Germany as a senior software developer. As Don did with Kraken, Christian began this project at a time when there were very few open source dashboards available for Ceph. Moreover, the other available dashboards had complex architectures and did not work well with large clusters. Also like Kraken, as we write this second edition of Learning Ceph, Ceph-dash may now be stagnant, though it has seen commits within the preceding year. We carry forward this section in condensed form, as it may still be useful or interesting to Ceph admins.
