Ceph allows us to create multiple pools of storage, with sizes and attributes specified according to the unique needs of each. For example, in an OpenStack deployment one will typically find a large Cinder pool, a medium to large Glance pool, and perhaps a number of pools for the RGW service. We'll cover more about pools in other chapters, but here we'll succinctly show you a number of commands for managing them.
To simply list the pools provisioned:
# rados lspools
rbd
# ceph osd lspools
1 rbd,
