When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
To crop a photograph or other image
1. | Open the image in Preview. |
2. | You don't need to get a special tool to do this: Just press and drag to create a cropping box, as shown below. Start in one corner and drag diagonally to the other corner. |
3. | To resize the cropped area, press on any of the tiny square “handles” that you see around the edges. Drag any handle to resize. |
4. | To move the cropped area to a different part of the image, press in the middle of the cropping box and drag. |
5. | When you are ready to crop, go to the Tools menu and choose “Crop.” Or press Command K. |
