Change time zones

You can change the time zone for selected events to reflect another part of the world. You don't want to do this while you're at home—it's only useful once you have arrived in the other country (otherwise all your events go catawampus). And you only need to do this if you choose not to change your computer's time zone while you're in another country.

So if you want to change the time zone, go to the iCal Preferences, click the “Advanced” icon, and check the box to “Turn on time zone support.” Close the Preferences.

In the upper-right corner of the iCal window, click on the time zone shown there. If the time zone you want is not displayed, choose “Other…” to add it.
