There are two ways to access iSync. Although each item does different things, they overlap a little bit.
.Mac preferences:
In the System Preferences, click the “.Mac” icon to open the pane where you will access Sync. This is what you will use to synchronize two or more Macintoshes.
iSync application:
This is in the Applications folder. This is what you will use to synchronize information from your Mac to an external device like a phone, Palm, or iPod. See pages 298–299.
