Visual Studio 2015 and the tools for Apache Cordova allow you to write mobile applications that run on iOS, Android, Windows, and other mobile platforms. This approach provides native applications that can be deployed to (and sold through) the various app stores.
We started this chapter by going through the fundamentals of Cordova. This included discussing how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be used to create apps that run on native devices. Visual Studio provides tool support, application dependencies, and project templates to get you started.
