Using Azure Traffic Manager

Another way of designing for availability and scalability is copying your web app over to multiple regions or data centers. Azure uses Azure Traffic Manager to spread the workload. Your web app can be reached by using a single URL, where Azure Traffic Manager will handle the load and locate the closest geographical region or the most suitable region for you at the DNS level. The following screenshot shows the Azure Traffic Manager profile page:
