Azure Web Apps

Azure Web Apps is a part of Azure App Service and is where you can host your websites and applications in Azure. Using Web Apps, you only pay for the compute resources you use, not for the actual hosting of your site or application. Besides websites and applications, you can also host your web APIs and your mobile backends inside Azure Web Apps.

You can use a programming language of your choice for developing applications. At the time of writing, Azure Web Apps supports .NET, .NET Core, Java, Ruby, Node.js, PHP, and Python. These applications are hosted on Windows or Linux VMs that are fully managed by Microsoft and can easily be scaled using out-of-the-box features.
