Allow me to climb up on my soapbox for a moment here and talk about following the rules and regulations for photographing sports. The rules are there for a reason. While they might seem arbitrary at times, usually they are there to protect the players and the photographers. So please follow all the rules and regulations.
The primary rule you need to follow is where you can and can’t photograph from. You need to stay out of the way of both the game and the spectators. Most sports provide designated places to photograph from—when in doubt, ask the officials.
