You might think water polo is only played outdoors in the sun. But most games seem to take place in the evening after the sun has set. Usually, they are lit by the not-very-bright lights surrounding the pool; many times the lights are brighter at the side of the pool, closer to the buildings. When you combine this uneven lighting with the churned-up water reflecting the light, you have a very challenging sport to capture.
