A wide variety of cameras is available today, ranging from introductory-level cameras costing a few hundred dollars to top-of-the-line DSLRs costing more than $6000. They all basically do the same thing, so why the huge price difference? And what should you look for in a sports camera? The professional-level cameras can shoot at really fast shutter speeds with very low noise at high ISO settings; they feature fast, accurate autofocus and can shoot at 10 frames a second or more. If you are a professional sports photographer, you might need this type of camera. However, if your goal is to capture your children playing their favorite sport, you have other options.
