You can simulate the look of aging wood or raku (crackled)
ceramic surfaces quite easily with a variety of crackle mediums.
Some give fi ne eggshell lines that are very subtle; others make
your texture look like shredded barn wood. I’ve tried all sorts
of products and had fairly decent—and sometimes stunning—
results with all of them. It just depends on how the materials dry.
The basic process is that two wet mediums with di erent
drying times are layered on top of each other, and the result is
