I wanted straps to convey the

sense of feeling trapped and

then breaking out, so I used thin

wires and connectors I found in

a discarded blueprint machine

at school

. To create tiny plugs, I

nipped o the tops of sewing pins

and forced them into my ledges

with pliers.



I glued the connectors to the wires and then put a bit of glue on the ends

before I “plugged” them in to the eensy pins.



Now to fi nish that third canvas: I wanted the last miniature chair to really

soar, so I made another pair of wings, more abundant than the fi rst set.



I carefully glued my wings on to the chair.


