So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Rub paint into masking tape texture
Masking tape makes a quick, easy, and inexpensive layering
medium that takes really well to the rubbing and ragging
technique.

On any kind of substrate, even a lamp shade or bond paper
from your printer, layer pieces of masking tape. Tear them
into di erently sized strips, lay them all in one direction or
crosswise or cattywampus—it’s up to you.
Paint a fi rst coat of acrylic paint over the masking tape.
Rub o some of the paint here and there if you like.
Paint a second coat over the entire page or just a piece of it,
and perhaps a third layer of paint. Experiment with di erent
