I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Clay sculpture is easy to set up and clean up. It can be
whimsical, exaggerated, stylized, colorful, and just plain fun.
However, it can also be a great tool for illustration because it
provides images with engaging dimensionality.
Don’t let the list of tools or the photo scare you—these are
just what I used for the sample in this chapter. You can create
wonderful objects with almost no tools at all.
Once polymer clay is baked, you can paint it, drill it, sand it, glue
it, add other clay pieces and rebake, and more. It’s amazing.
