Cast paper is a wonderful technique for creating 3 illustrations.

To make cast paper you need a mold. Many people use plaster of

Paris to make molds, but that means buying big bags of powdery,

dusty stu and mixing it with water, lathering your casting item

in petroleum jelly, pouring the sloppy wet stu over your casting

item while making sure you have appropriate seams so you can

take your mold apart, waiting for the whole thing to dry . . . I don’t

have time for the process or the mess, so I use my handy-dandy

Sculpey clay to make molds. I’ve even picked leaves from outside
