It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

4.2.4 Timeline of 802.11 Task Groups
Figure 4.2 shows the 802.11 task group timelines. A black circle indicates when the PAR
was approved. A solid line followed by an arrowhead indicates when the standard was
ratified. A dashed line indicates that the standard is still under progress and has not been
ratified yet. The figure indicates, for example, that the PAR for 802.11 obtained approval in
1991 and that the standard was ratified in 1997. Several other task groups, for example,
802.11a and 802.11b achieved shorter ratification times. It should be noted that the efforts
