
Dynamics of 802.11 Task Groups
In this section we have attempted to provide a brief review of the major import of the 802.11r
standard. As 802.11r is central to fast secure roaming in 802.11, we provide additional
in-depth coverage of the standard in Chapter 9.
4.10 Other 802.11 Subgroups
In addition to the a, b, g, i, e, k, and r standardization efforts discussed earlier, in Table 4.3,
we briefly summarize the other 802.11 task groups for the sake of generating a complete
