I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Showing Scale
It is really important to show the scale of the item for sale, especially for small items like jewelry where it could be difficult to determine exactly how big an item is just from a photo. To help the viewer, simply add a familiar item such as a coin to the photo—and don’t forget to include the item’s measurement in the description.
To give scale to the pearls in this image, I added a dime.
You can also use a measuring tape or ruler in the frame, but make sure it is a brand new, really clean ruler or tape. You do not want the ruler to distract from the item being sold.
