Keeping Things Simple
Photographing larger items for auction listings brings a whole new set of problems. The main issues are having enough light to evenly light the whole item and keeping the background plain and simple. Using a flash probably won’t cut it here, so diffused sunlight is your best bet. For many items, you might still be able use the white foam board, but you will need bigger pieces. For items that are too big for the foam board, you can shoot them on location (covered in the next section) or against a simple background right at home.
