Light Tents

When you use a light tent, you also need to use a set of lights to illuminate the tent and the item in it. The placement of the lights and the object are key to getting the desired results. The objective is to position the lights so that they illuminate the object while at the same time throwing more light on the background. You need to position the lights toward the rear of the light tent with the lights pointing toward the back. The object you want to photograph needs to be placed toward the front of the light tent. You will need to experiment to get the placement just right. Move the object too far forward and there will not be enough light to illuminate it; move it too far back and it will be too bright.
