When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Board Game
A board game, in this case, chess, makes a great example for a product shot. It’s too large for a light tent, plus it’s inexpensive, so you don’t want to spend a lot of time or money taking the photos. I shot these with sunlight diffused through the open door. I created the background setup from a few pieces of large white foam board. I stood behind the setup so that I would not cast a shadow and photographed down from above the game. The first image shows the whole board set up with all the pieces in the correct spots. The next image shows the pieces, followed by a close-up of some of the pieces and then the board itself, followed finally by the rear of the board and the pieces in storage.
