Shooting for eBay: Creating Simple and Effective Product Shots for Online Auctions and Sales

For the examples here, I photographed a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar, which is reflective and black, against a piece of white board. The board and guitar were leaning up against a wall and illuminated with the constant light kit. The guitar base was just on a small piece of board, but there were no pieces off to the sides. For the final shot of the guitar in the case, I placed everything on the ground, then stood over it on a chair to fit everything in the same frame. You can see the reflection of the white board in the bottom of the guitar in the first shot and the reflection of the lights in the guitar pickups.
