Shashi Kumar, PhD, received an MSc in Physics from Patna University,

Patna, India, in 2006; an MSc in Geoinformatics under the joint educa-

tion program of the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun,

India, and the International Institute for Geo- Information Science and Earth

Observation (ITC), Enschede, the Netherlands, in 2009; and a PhD from the

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India, in 2019. Since 2009, he

has been working as a scientist with the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing
