Pyroclastic deposits are the evident source of early volcanism in lunar history and contain metal

oxides and volatiles that can be used in the future. In total, there are more than 100 mapped regions

of pyroclastic deposits on the lunar surface, and some of them range to an extent of 49,000 sq. km

[22], [23]. They are generally related to the mare boundaries, volcanism centers, and the fractures
