Extraction and Evaluation of Lineaments From DEMs

15.4.1.2 ALOS- I PALSAR

The ALOS- I PALSAR data of the study area is covered in two parts, namely Frame 490 and Frame

500, and thus DEMs were also generated in two parts in this study. The following steps were applied

in ESA SNAP software to generate DEM from ALOS- I PALSAR interferometric pair:

(1) DEM- assisted co- registration

(2) Interferogram formation

(3) Phase ltering

(4) Exporting to Snaphu, unwrapping, and importing back

(5) Phase to elevation

(6) Range- doppler terrain correction

SRTM 3 sec DEMs were auto- downloaded during processing of ALOS- I PALSAR interfero-

metric data. Two partial DEMs were blended to form the whole DEM of the study area.
