Visiting Race Events
Racers have a saying: “The BS stops when the green flag drops.” Attending amateur racing events gives you an opportunity to watch the green flag drop (or the green light come on), and watch the timing equipment separate the serious racers from the ones whose claims about their cars were nothing but BS. Visiting your local dragstrip on test and tune night may only cost a few dollars, while watching an autocross event is often free. In either case, you will be able to see the times these cars have run on display for all to see, and many drivers will be quite happy to show off what mods they have installed to get their times.
