Aerodynamic Mods
The air flowing over a car creates two problems when it comes to performance: lift and drag. Drag is a force that pushes backward on the car and makes it need more force to move forward, while lift pulls the car upward so the tires have less traction. Drag occurs because the car must push the air out of its way, and some shapes push less gently than others. Lift is caused by the difference in air pressure between the upper and lower surfaces of the car. The air must flow faster over the top of the car due to its curved shape. Air pressure drops as it moves faster, so the car has more pressure under it than above it, pushing it up. Lift is virtually always an undesirable effect, reducing how much grip your tires have.
