Graphics and Decals
While a solid color can be quite eye catching, many enthusiasts want to spice things up further with graphics. These may be painted on or added with vinyl decals. Often, these two approaches fit different sorts of graphics.
Painted-on graphics are usually done with an airbrush, although some are done with smaller paint guns, or miniature rollers in the case of pinstripes. In the case of scallops or other simple designs, you can even mask off the car with tape and newspaper, and apply them with a spray can.
