I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Manual Transmissions
Many enthusiasts prefer a stick shift. Not only does a manual transmission waste less power than an automatic, but it lets you feel more connected to the car and in control. Their simplicity also means that there is not much the average street enthusiast needs to do to modify the transmission itself. While there are a few times you may want to make internal mods to a transmission to make it more durable or for an all-out race car, complete transmission swaps tend to be more common.
