I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Drum Brake Upgrades
If you have drums, there are still a few changes you can make to get more performance. While drum brakes may fade faster and behave in more of an on/off fashion than disc brakes, there are steps that you can take to minimize both of these. Since the front brakes handle the lion’s share of the braking effort, a car with discs up front and drums in the back can still have decent stopping ability.
Just like with brake pads on discs, it is possible to upgrade the brake shoes, with much the same benefits. Even if you are unable to find off-the-shelf brake shoes, some companies can strip off the friction material from your original brake shoes and bind on new high-performance material.
