It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Introduction to Access Control List
Access Control List (ACL) provides additional controls to what is designed to work along with existing Linux file permissions. ACL gives us the flexibility to give permission at the individual user and group level for files and directories. The setfacl command is used to give permissions for the same.
