If the receiver has to show proof to a third party that a particular message has been sent by an X sender, can the third party validate this proof with solid confidence?
For example, Thomas sent an email to John with the confirmation of an order for the purchase of 200 units of wireless cards. When John arranged and sent them to Thomas, he denied that he sent such an email and said that it was a fake email sent by a hacker. How can John, with 100% confidence, show proof to the third party that the email was indeed sent by Thomas?
These three pillars form the building blocks for cryptography. We will dedicate this entire chapter to understanding and implementing all of these in our organization.
